When your Mac volume becomes RAW then it will prompt you to format the volume in order to make it recognizable. Another popular symptom is when your operating system tries to access such type of volume, then it tells that the volume size is zero.

Generally, the volume becomes RAW due to the corruption. When a hard drive is corrupted, you cannot locate the information stored on it and thus it leads to an inaccessibility problem. In this corruption, the header of the hard drive gets damaged. The header is a place on the hard drive which keeps a record of data stored on the hard drive, number of volumes, size of the block of data, date of creation and many more. Thus you cannot access data stored on it. But, fortunately there exist a tool which can easily recover data from a RAW volume as well as corrupted hard drive with ease. A virus or malware attack is another reason which can make your volume data inaccessible. If any virus infects the hard drive then chances are there that this volume starts behaving inappropriately and becomes RAW. In this case, you will not be able to access data from such type of volume without the help of the data recovery tool. Mac Partition Recovery is one such kind of tool which is famous to retrieve data from RAW volume very effetely.

This tool has been developed on the top of a very reliable and robust algorithm which scans the entire hard drive and recovers data from it in an effective manner. You can use this tool to recover formatted partition from a Mac Mini with ease. You can recover data from volumes having HFS, HFS+ and other file systems.
